As a kid playing those crappy games was not only disappointing, but also slightly damaging to our imaginations and dreams. Seeing the characters faces after viewing their terrible games really invokes a sense of justice. You can literally see the shame and embarrassment in their gestures.
It really struck me, when I saw that picture.
