I’m so glad I saw this in theaters! This is probably the best experience I’ve had at the movies…Ever! I really need to buy the theatrical release on Blu-ray. I bought the separate releases on DVD when they came out and they had postcards inside with shots from the movies, but the fake trailers were missing. So getting to see the full release again will be great.

I think I might have grown a beard during that part, waiting for the chase scene. Best car chase ever, but still.

,,, Hell I sat through Bullet, and the 7 Ups in the Theater, and they both sucked too, except for the chase scene.

Go see “Drive” Ryan Gosling. it kicks ass.

We didn’t call them that back then, but they were known as exploitation flicks. Some were very disturbing. First of all, I think this flick,, “Grindhouse” was pretty cool. It kinda took me back to the old Drive-In, and a lot of memories from long ago started flooding me.

O.k.,, back then, they would advertise in the news papers a double-feature, that was going to be sooo disturbing, that they pleaded for you not to come! If you did show up, you did at your own risk. They would also have an ambulance there, just in case you wigged out, or something. Of course,, we had no choice. We had to go!!!!.. and yes, sometimes we’d sneak in, in somebodies trunk. Been there, done that. I won’t name them all, but one night we saw “The Corpse Grinders”, and “The Undertaker, and his Pals”. They were both really gross. When I’d get really grossed out, I’d leave the car, and go to the even grosser snack bar. (The Ambulance was there. Off duty EMTs making an extra buck.) I’d get some soggy fries, dowse them in ketchup, and not be able to eat them, because like the movies, they were just too fricking gross!!

Looking back, it was a lot of fun, and I’m sorry you young folks can’t experience that now.

Damn,,, I can still smell those fries………
