Plus, you don’t say “He got pennied to death.” It’s nickel and dimed. We could melt them all and use it to provide wired cable and internet to rural communities. Or see how many I can shove up someone’s butt before they die from poisoning or explode. Pennies are neat again.

We have a big tobacco can where we stuff all of our pennies into. There are pennies in it that are so old that they’re tarnished. We never take pennies out of it. We only put pennies IN, and we never look back.

They don’t bother me at all. I keep them in a cash box, and that overfills, I put them in a sack and empty them into the nearest CoinStar and come back with close to $100.

You do realize those banks have those coin counters to do it all for you, plus, just stack a certain amount to another to count it evenly. It saves time from counting every last bit one by one, plus I find them more than ever than other coins combined daily. People who have patience tend to live with them like pennies. They’re more like crumbs because collecting enough can help you live better.

This is exactly why Canada got rid of the penny. It takes 1.5 cents worth of copper to mint a penny. Wasteful and worthless save as scrap metal now. Banks won’t even take them anymore. And if you want the scrap value, you have to melt them down. Flies in the face of the laws against defacing money, but I guess not since the penny isn’t even counted as legal tender anymore in Canada. Take a hint United States and follow Canada for a change.

Where I live in Canada pennies are now obsolete. Prices are rounded up ($1.52 becomes $1.50, $1.56 becomes $1.55, $1.58 becomes $1.60). Pennies are no longer being produced and stores are not accepting pennies anymore

We just eliminated the penny less than a year ago here in Canada, and I must say, I don’t miss them. Now whenever I see a penny I laugh, like the one on my floor next to my garbage can. Must’ve been full of pennies, because I missed.

I work somewhere where taxes are automatically added onto the price, and everything ends in a quarter value, so all my register ever has is dollars or quarters. But people still fucking give me pennies! That’s some serious bullshit.
