I missed a lot of fun! 🙂

I’m a Halloween fan 4 life and happily enjoy all the shitty remakes that came with it. I don’t kno what’s better than seeing Busta Rhymes karate kick Micheal Myers. I mean this movies has everything: teens having sex, a innocent girl who’s not having sex, a nice neighborhood with sumthin really creepy about it, kids killing their sisters, a jus “evil 4 the fuck of it” monster in a William Shatner mask. All brought together with the old but badass and wise detective who jus tired of Michael’s shit. Being such a big fan always wished I could of watched it in when it came out in the theaters. Well last year they brought it back for a limited time and only in certain theaters and I watched it. Probably the greatest experience of my whole life.

I agree in comparison to Friday’s 7 and onward and Nightmare 4 and up. Halloween 4 and 5 are far superior to any late 80’s and early 90’s friday or nightmare film. Those 2 kept sliding while halloween was good until they got to 6.

They don’t air them a lot but 4 and 5 are quality movies every bit as good as other staples of the slasher genre at the time. There are some very creative kills in them and some superb effects. The version of 6 titled “The Curse of Michael Myers” that was released to the mass market was garbage. The directors cut of that one is a good movie but is very hard to find. The rest of them aren’t really worth watching.

They contained a lot of the elements that made the original so scary; Michael lurking in the shadows just out of sight of the characters, the score of course, that helpless feeling of nothing being able to stop him and those great twist endings. I think that they are both amazing sequels and stand up better than the F13 and Nightmare sequels.

The original is spine-tingling, but never really scary. It is highly entertaining. The second is so scary. Just the thought of Michael taking down an entire hospital (somewhere where you should be safe) is terrifying. Halloween 3 is a good film and all, but I just wish it wasn’t called Halloween 3, and called something else unrelated to the previous 2. Halloween 4 was boring, Halloween 5 was a little bit better than 4, only because Tina Williams was an amazingly portrayed character. Halloween 6 was the first slasher I saw, and it’s hated among some Halloween fans, but I like it because it definitely has the greatest kills, and the storyline is different. H20 just kind of brings be back. It’s great. That’s all I have to say. Resurrection is terrible, no doubt about it. Both remakes were great, but were just hated on because they were called “Halloween”, and “Halloween 2”. If the character names were changed, similar kills were altered (Bob’s death and Lynda’s death were similar between the original and the remake), a different mask was used (maybe the pumpkin mask that Mikey used to escape the sanitarium in the remake), and little things were changed, like the scene setups (There was a graveyard scene in both), the remakes would have been considered great.
