Didn’t care much about Scream 3, and 4 is just totally meh. Just like James said, I like it because it is self aware of the cliche in slasher genre, and it’s even self aware of its own cliche. Dumb, but kinda unique. But the most reason I like it is because, I like the idea that eventhough the serial killer is wearing a masil but it can be everybody and an ordinary person. And the set is in ordinary neighborhood. I mean, it’s not like everyday I’m gonna spend my holiday in a wood or being killed in my dream. And eventhough Michael Myers also roams in the neighborhood, but we already know it’s Michael Myers, while in Scream, the killer can be just a seemingly ordinary teen without any super strength or supernatural power, just someone you can meet everyday or even be friends with. Of course this is not a new thing, but I still think Scream is good for what it is.

Agreed, it wasn’t original at all. Now people realize that it had all been done before, thanks to the internet!!

He wanted to be a director after he saw this film? What a sad story that is. If only he’d seen a GREAT MOVIE!
