This game was really hard and I agree the snipers were one of the worst parts of the game. If you removed the snipers and made the driving sections more interesting it might be a good game.
Going around collecting clues and investing stuff are cool ideas its just not executed well

I do think this game had some good ideas for the time. They just didnt do any of them well. Same thing with friday the 13th. The games sucked but if done right the ideas could be interesting and work well.

Oh you’re going to love this. The game developers were expecting the player to slowly drive around town, paying very close attention to the rooftops, stopping every half-block to get out and shoot a sniper off the roof. And you see that building with 4 snipers on the roof? That one was the worst of the lot. Yeah, I played this one as a kid too. Luckily we rented other games that weekend, ’cause Dick Tracy got played for about 15 minutes tops before my brothers and I tossed it aside.

Like when you call someone a “private dick” they mean “private detective”. So “Dick Tracy” actually means “Detective Tracy” and that makes a lot sense since he’s like…you know…a detective…

That’s good, because the urge to watch the movie is something like a suicidal urge.

People wrote the name Richard in short forms like Rich and Rick. Rhyming words were used for nicknames. So Hick and Dick were common nicknames for people named Richard (Rich, Rick).

The only game I think I may have played was the Genesis version which was nothing like this one.

All who wish to join my online discussions say “Live Long And Prosper” as a comment. This may be what Trekkies might need to be complete, and be enlightened on the deeper meanings that each episode contains.
THANK YOU
