It probably should have had a different title since it was more romantic than comedic. Melinda Clarke was super hot.

This was directed by Dan O’bannon who did the special effects for Alien. That’s why the special effects look so cool.

Laurie’s got to be one of the most sympathetic “monsters” in movies. Every time she started to panic or otherwise break down due to her zombification I just wanted to give her a big hug…from behind…so she couldn’t eat my brains.

Also, holy shit, remember her kinked out version? How fucking badass was that?!

Man, really, I’d love to see a direct sequel to part 3. They could have it where the Colonel comes back and blows open the gate with a bazooka and rescues them both. Then the movie would be sort of like the 3rd one but now the Colonel is running across states and having to deal with two brain loving yet still intelligent “zombies”.

Don’t get me wrong it’s a good premise and some of the scenes were either very funny or legitimately scared the crap out of me. But the whole running Zombie thing kinda ticked me off.

Totally different tone than a lot of my favorite zombie movies. I feel like they balanced the comedy and the horror in a really unique and effective way. The visual effects are surprisingly top notch and creepy. Love that music too.
