Instead of criticizing, you’re so full of love, understanding and passion towards them and their creators. I want to be like you 🙂

I agree completely. While that movie did have some serious problems, it doesn’t deserve the amount of hatred that it receives.

Temple Of Doom was at least partially forgiven because it had some insanely good setpieces so it would have been a waste to just dismiss it entirely, but it was still frustrating (to people who never attended film school). People would have probably liked Crystal Skull a lot better if there was some early scene where Indy was called to visit an archaeology dig where they found a UFO fossil and maybe some alien bones or something, and he’s like “what the fuck” and he meets some guy there who knows a lot about aliens and explains how this all connects to alien folklore. That sort of happened (he goes to see a crazy guy who found a skull at some point) but it wasn’t even close to enough.

Gremlins 2 is so much fun to watch. I guess it’s a love it/hate it movie. My only complaint about Crystal of the Kingdom Skull is that it was CGI overkill. Sure it could have done without certain scenes, but overall, it was a fun ride and I didn’t mind one bit that the crystal skull belonged to that of an alien. Anybody whose familiar with extra terrestrial mythology knows that theories and stories behind things like that. It’s probably why they tried so hard to educate people on the subject matter prior to seeing the movie.

As for saying the Halloween series should have ended after 2 that’s crap! Halloween 4 and 5 are the best ones in the series! Psycho 2 is awesome!! 3 and 4 are good too.

I think that’s a case where the 3rd one sucked so hard it dragged the 2nd one down with it, because on it’s own the 2nd one is pretty damn good. Frankly, I liked it more than the first. Well, if you ignore that whole Zion orgy thing.

So James has to like every sequel ever? I have serious doubts that the Internet actually knows what opinions are.

I don’t think they were “making fun” of the audience reaction.

They seemed to genuinely hate the movie, and really felt as if Indy was being raped as they watched it.

Spiderman 3 sucked not just because of Venom. The movie was just a mess. The writing was a dam copy and paste from the other 2 films. The plot twist was a huge middle finger to the awesome first movie, and Venom was pointless as They could have beautifully built on Harry vs Peter with Sandman thrown in the mix. It is also the reason we ended up with a god awful reboot.
