Was that Woody Woodpecker trying (and failing apparently) to shoot himself in the head at 2:22? Man, between the numerous examples of racist caricatures and cartoon animals attempting suicide, cartoons back in the day were messed up. None of that shit would fly today. Can you imagine an episode of Spongebob Squarepants where Spongebob gets fired from the Krusty Krab and attempts to hang himself in despair, only to have the rope break? Or an episode of Adventure Time where Jake wears blackface and eats watermelon and fried chicken?
