Also, some of the 80s effects James seems to obsess over don’t hold up that well I think; the scene with Freddy in the wall doesn’t look good, though it wasn’t much better in the remake either.

That being said, for a low-budget thing at the time, it was creative, and obviously started an iconic franchise.

I mean, her reactions & facial expressions were so of cue & arbitrary that it just made me think she was on cocaine. Also, that last part when Freddy pulls her through the front door’s window… When you look at the window before the gag starts , it’s smaller then her body, but when the gag starts enlarges. Bad special effects.
