This one wasn’t very definitive and very much a stretch, as stated, and it looks like it has even caused a bit of controversy! Haha… well, at the end of the day, this is just for fun, and not saying who is better than the other. Either way, I enjoyed this look back at horror history.

Chaney should have won a point for Abbot and Costello for sure. If Bela wanting to die made that one a draw, then Chaney being willing to die to kill Dracula obviously makes him the victor for that one. The whole movie, heck all the movies he is the Wolfman, he hates himself and in some of them wishes he could just die. So if you assume they die at the end of A&C then Chaney wins that one.

Yep, James is definitely playing favorites in this tourney. Kinda sucks. I wanted to see who actually killed who the most and see who came out on top.

yeah, i kinda feel like chaney got screwed here. i mean if lugosi gets a win for outliving chaney in the black sleep. shouldn’t chaney get a win for outliving/killing lugosi in the wolf man? and in the ghost of frankenstein…i mean chaney is the one still on screen at the end.

idk in my mind chaney won.

Actually though, I expected this one to be a stalemate. Even before I watched it, all I could think was, “didn’t they BOTH die in each movie they were in together??”
I forgot about THE WOLFMAN, though…

I think this wasn’t a fair fight. Techinally Lugosi didn’t kill Chaney. It was the surgon who we can sorta say killed Chaney by taking out his brain. Maybe Chaney’s brain became the Fiend without a Face. So I think this should’ve been a tie from the beginning.
