The average feature length film has an editorial staff of around 20-25 people, the Avengers, for example, had 29 chief editors before you got down to the smaller jobs. Assuming that James is going to do the entire edit all on his own is moronic at best. Those of you insisting this should be the case clearly don’t want the movie coming out anytime soon.

James reaching out to fans to fill those needed positions it’s some horrible crime against nature.

I would definitely like to help out in editing. Even for just a small scene. I’ve edited several videos before, but I’ve never done a feature film. I completely understand if I don’t qualify.

Maybe it’s even too late to volunteer myself for this as this was posted on June 5th. It would be awesome to be given the chance to help out, even for a very small part of it.

I could do the finnish subtitles since I speak both languages fluidly. We have a big fan base in Finland too so I think it would be a could idea to translate it to Finnish. I’ve already sent you an email, but the translation part wasn’t in that.

Like some people have said before me, James is just sending out a little request, to see if any of the members of this site are professional editors and would like to help. And all the people that think he’d trust ONE PERSON with the whole rough cut are insane, it’s a feature film for god’s sake, and feature films don’t just have one “master editor” who ends up with all the footage and would have the ability to leak it. no, editing in movies is done by a large group of people, and they would all be working on little snippets, plus they would have all signed NDA’s, and even if they did leak their little snippet, it would be a very small part, and they’d get sued the crap out of.

I think that overall, putting this request here was a good idea, yes he will get a fair wad of junkmail from people who just learned to play with WMM, but at least there is a chance of finding someone to help be on the editing team.

And I’m very glad there’s some people here offering to do subtitles, any native speaker of Danish, French, Spanish etc. who can speak enough English is more than qualified to do subtitles IMO, and it’s great that there are fans willing to do it, rather than having to pay a pro translator.
