Actually, the console version got more stages in it! Believe it or not Beebop and Rocksteady are not in the arcade one. Even-though the arcade one has more voices and more fluent animation. I still think the SNES Turtles in time is THE ultimate turtles game.

The arcade version was a frustratingly hard mess where all of the playable characters had randomized movesets and the bosses had unpredictable patterns. Pretty typical for its time. The SNES version was one of the best brawlers of its time, though. It simplified the gameplay by giving every character preset movesets and giving the bosses movement patterns that where able to be exploited while still being difficult, like in Slash’s case.
