Man, there are SO many errors on there.

Still, pretty cool to see all those obscure systems on there. Takes me back to the days when I was rockin’ Yar’s Revenge on my 2600, or arguing the merits of the SNES over the Genesis.

Just by using the original dvd game and copy it with a nero on our pc.How do i know that? i have a mesiah in my ps2 guilty as charged, but that mod chip came with a price because i have give more than enough to pay for that chip just to save a lousy 100 bucks. The evolution of the gaming systems its mostly for how we make it hapen, and not entirely by it self.Great historical lesson thanks.

I wish we would stop calling these INFOGRAPHS, and rather Information Displays as Top information designers Edward Tufte and Susan Verba argue.

But it says Nintendo secretly canceled the deal, not Sony, that’s why I wrote my comment in the first place. Doesn’t matter if Sony had bigger plans, it all started because for some reason, Nintendo canceled the deal.

Oops, you did indeed mention the GameLine.

Also, there was the Edge 16 modem for the Genesis, which I guess never came out.

And the ill-fated Minnesota lottery NES modem.

“For some reason” ?
You mean monopolizing CD game licensing fees away from Nintendo?
I would break ties off, too.
It was pretty obvious Sony had grander schemes in mind anyway, and the SNES contract was just to get their foot in the door.

This was all explained in the book “Game Over” by David Sheff.

Nintendo also rejected Microsoft’s bid to buy them outright.

There’s nothing funny or ironic about it. That’s how business goes sometimes. Big sharks will try to eat your lunch, and the yummier your lunch looks the more desperate the sharks get. They will get into your market by hook or crook and either try to double cross you, buy you (sometimes just to shut you down), or out-muscle you with a competing product.

On the other hand, a former competitor (NEC) became a major chip supplier to Nintendo. They manufactured all the big chips for the N64, GameCube, Wii, etc. Not to mention the Sega Dreamcast PowerVR chip.
