This game is great. When I first heard about it I was a bit skeptical thinking it would just be some generic side scroller using the nerd as a cash-in gimmick but I can gladly say I was wrong. You can tell that the people who made it were really passionate about creating a challenging experience and thought out every last detail of each level.

Now I’m wondering if James is planning to do an AVGN episode about this game. It would really make for an interesting episode and I think the game devs would love to see that as well. If not, a James and Mike play would be nice too, but I still think the nerd playing his own game is a golden opportunity missed if he decides not to do it.

This game is hard as balls, even on easy difficulty.

Me sure to find Kyle, you’ll need him to defeat the final boss, otherwise expect to spend 2 hours+ dying over and over and finding yourself transforming into the nerd.

The first time I played this game, I couldn’t find the nerds friends, so I played through the entire game as the nerd alone…and BOY was it HARD!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for making this game. Although I love all the “Nerdisms” but even taking those out of the discussion, the game is a wonderfully put together blast to the past… but at the same time being visually wonderful. Controls are spot on and the game is that kind of challenging that any true retro fan will appreciate. Also the soundtrack if effin SWEET. I’ve only been playing it for a few hours and I’m already a huge fan. Bravo! It was money well spent no doubt.

I saw that you guys released the game early So I went on Steam and purchased it TODAY! I can’t wait to spend all weekend playing this game. Thank you guys so much for making a game like this. I love when people try to revive the good old style of retro games.
