Hey James, I don’t know how useful this tip could be now, after all this time, but the best way to clean broken glass is to sweep all the pieces you can into a pile, get rid of the bulk, then use a damp paper towel over the surface for small shards and slivers of glass. If I were you I’d have covered the hard floor and then vacuumed the carpet.
