I have many issues with this movie, though I have to say.. I thought the look of the turtles was pretty good, as far as realism goes. Its just the times, man ^^ no one likes rubber suits anymore.. 😉

But anyway… my main beef with this movie are, among other things:

* Raph is repeatedly overly glorified
* Leo ends up in trouble wau too much (its fairly obvious to anyone that Michael Bay is a Raph-fanboy)
* Fast CGI movements, as usual, are just blurry to the eye and not appealing to look at as you can’t really see what’s going on… same shit with the transformers movies..
* The slide down the snowy slope … oh my god ….. I have never rolled my eyes as much while watching a movie as I did during that scene … Mike is right, it just goes ooooon for far too long. And Leo just gets nailed with the shockers all the time; I swear its like he is more in the way sometimes… and that hurts to say, as I am a die hard Leo-fanboy..

* But my biggest complaint of all is that they didn’t give the Shredder ANY KIND OF PERSONALITY WHATSOEVER!! Instead, the role of main antagonist is composed of a corporate asshole William Fichtner who talks a LOT and just has the most predictable motives for playing mad scientist.
And not only was the Shredder a machine of silverware and no character-depth, his personal connection to the turtles and Splinter was nonexistent.

I’m gonna rewatch the original turtles movie now just to wash away this anti-climactic aftertaste..

Oh, and Shredder was so badass! These guys are way too critical, but of course, they are entitled to their opinion. I loved it! Can’t wait for a sequel for sure!

Saw it last night! Wasn’t expecting much going in, but I thought it kicked ass! I hope they do a sequel with more of the cartoon-based enemies and maybe Casey Jones. At first, the look of the Turtles bothered me, but I grew to like them by the and. Awesome action scenes, seamless CG, and the new take on the origin was very cool! Much better than Bay’s TF movies!
