Granted, it was a concept system that tried to combine trading cards and gaming it kind of was a precursor to games like Skylanders, Disney Infinity and the Amiibo. Of course, I feel about those games like you said about this one, “Why not have a select screen?” Because making you shell out money for overpriced characters is more fun for the gaming companies.
