Actually, at 5:50, he just nudges it, and so it would have fell into directly onto the seat part of the couch.

Also, its common for a character of a select personality to react that way to a dreadfully bad experience in a comedy and/or fantasy movie or show, cartoon or not, so its not at all impossible for it to have happened.

I’m pretty sure that at the time the Mr Bucket episode was made they didn’t have the plot for the Dream Phone episode. So all this stuff from the Mr Bucket ep. would be retcon at best.
As for the horror movies, keep in mind that only in those two episodes can we see Board James when he is not playing a board game. And we know that (the real) James likes horror movies. Add it up, it’s no rocket science.
As for the rest of the analysis, it’s pure speculation. If you are looking for specific clues very hard you will find them anywhere. (I mean you will find something that – with a wide enough fantasy – could be considered a clue.) It’similar to those analyses like Back to the future predicted 9/11.

I think the part about Board James being in a asylum makes the most sense. Quite frankly, the whole “Board James did it” scenario is too neat and tidy. I don’t know where the series could go from there, as it would make little sense to continue the series. Something weird is happening… and I have a feeling we’re about to find out what it is.

my theory is board james is actually in an asylum. during free period he gets to play board games with 2 others. bootsie who clearly has issues, and mother fucker mike also deranged. after an incident involving mr bucket and dream phone. james is sent into isolation hence the long absence without board james videos.

In reply to greedo. Except in American Psycho it isn't in his head, confirmed by the author and director of the movie. The point of American Psycho is that the world around Patrick Bateman is so shallow that everyone is busy with themself to care.

Here’s my take on the fan theory. Just because it makes logical sense and you can use snippets of circumstantial evidence from the many videos doesn’t make the theory ironclad. In fact, I have half a mind to believe that James set all this up as a red herring just so he can throw us a great big curve ball at the very end! Like perhaps maybe the Mike and Bootsy he killed weren’t really Mike and Bootsy but were actually just Replicants like in Blade Runner? I can totally see James, being the film nerd that he is, throwing us a curve ball like that.
