I’ve noticed how, at the beginning of the episode James sounds a bit sinister when he says “Hi. I’m Board James” – and more cynical when reviewing games (“I dont remember this, what do columns have to do with Rodney Dangerfield?”, “Look at the people on the box” etc), interesting. Perhaps theres another personality taking over.

Honestly, it’s all theory until the content creator comes out and explicitly says what their artistic vision was. Even if James makes a film giving the “answer” people will still interpret that answer slightly differently (for example, when I see “red” it may not be the same as your version of “red” even though we’re looking at the same coke can).

I’m not knocking anyone for coming up with ideas. I think its awesome that people are thinking critically and analyzing data and interpreting what they see and hear in different ways and then taking all those ideas and thoughts and feelings and finding a way to articulate them and put them into some form of expressible medium.

Too often, people see and hear and read things and then just regurgitate it and parrot it over and over without any additional insight or interpretation. They just repeat it verbatim, copy/paste it, or post a link to it and that’s it. That’s why I think it’s so cool that people are into this and are offering so many different ideas. I just don’t want people to get so emotionally attached to their ideas that they reject any other possible ideas (and sometimes get militant about it!). That’s why I was stressing that caveat about interpretation and shit in my previous post.

So keep coming up with ideas everybody. You might inspire someone to create something awesome and new.

In reply to Don Skiver. This is a THEORY. Not the ANSWER. I mean you're right that not everything is a symbol for something. I don't think that either. My point was that in my eyes it appeared to me that James purposely filmed certain parts to symbolize part of the story. I mean he did say that he was slowly giving away answers one video at a time. I'm known for my creative thinking so I used my talent and took apart the video. When you come up with a theory you kind of have to go outside the box a little. I had fun coming up with this and I was inspired to do this because of the creative theory that was posted before mine.

Not to burst anybody’s bubble or anything…but just because YOU see symbolism, doesn’t mean that the creator PUT IT THERE. Ever look at a cloud and see a dog? And then your friend says “nah man that’s totally a horse.” Ever hear about those people who found Jesus Christ in a potato chip or in a cat’s fur pattern? Ever notice that when the only tool you have is a hammer, that everything starts to look like a nail? Same principle applies here. Everything you see is colored and filtered through a lens of your own personal beliefs, experiences, and desires. I’m not saying you’re flat out wrong, but I guarantee you that another fan out there has written up an equally creative and compelling argument with lots of evidence cited from the videos to support his argument that directly contradicts yours.

That said, I think people should keep thinking critically and creatively and putting those thoughts up for others to see because you never know who you might inspire to create something else. 🙂
