As if just the names made the characters…yeah Ryu shoting a fucking machinegun instead of doing Hadokens is very credible and makes you feel like playing Street Fighter inside of Contra…well I guess that’s pop culture at its worst!

I read about that on Wikipedia, and it does sound like a good thing for AVGN. 🙂

I’m tired of them s***ing on emulators, forgetting that even the retro games on VC is an emulator. They’re under the impression that everyone who uses emulators uses savestates and very likely plays it on keybaords. Actually, I use savestates at the beginning of every level and if I want to practice a part over and over again before playing it from the beginning. I have controllers from the original console that I can attach via USB. I use the speed-up features to speed up games like on PSX so I don’t have to go through scenes I don’t like or care about (which I used to play on the original console–still have the game, not the PSX or PS2, nor do I care to download it to play on PS3 or 4.)

Get off your high horse, James and Mike.

Much different definitions on Wiktionary:
1. Free from work or direct supervision. In reference to slave labor, where workers are chained, or to the figurative chain of workers of an assembly line.
2. Crazy and exciting; delirious and wild. By analogy to a frenetic dog when unleashed.

Do you guys have pre-determined list? Or do you just go with it?

P.S To Mike: A discussion was sparked concerning Zelda II, sparked by a comment you made in you appearance in the video game years: about death mountain being the toughest part of the game for you, an opinion I share. That said, many argue that the Great Palace is by far more difficult. How do you manage through the palace? Any tips? If you ever have up for it, a zelda II let’s play would be interesting.
