That’s stopped, but it doesn’t matter anymore since The Simpsons stopped being good sometime around season 10.

When you watch any animated holiday specials, watch them on DVD or Blu-Ray, not on TV. When shown on TV now, several minutes are cut out to make room for more commercials.
