There’s a thing called Z-Buffer that Playstation and Saturn didnt had (unlike Jaguar) back in the day so the polygons must be arranged from the virtual world to the framebuffer manually, unless some skilled team like Naughty Dog do a software-based z-buffer.

Those clipping issues are not even funny coz they are present in most of those systems catalog.
