Put your wife & kid in a movie! Then you can see them more

AVGN is still my favorite show of yours, although this year’s Board James was spectacular. I’d definitely like to see more traditional style AVGN episodes like Mortal Kombat Mythologies. You’ve already shown that games that the nerd talks about doesn’t necessarily have to be terrible games, but just frustratingly difficult, like Castlevania and Zelda 2, so I’d like to see the nerd play more of those kinds of games, along with the shitty ones, of course.

I also wouldn’t mind seeing another re-revisited episode. Just to go back and take a more in depth look at some of the games you may not have showed very much of. If I had to pick one episode for you to revisit, it would be Deadly Towers. That one is my least favorite episode. That was a game that I had as a kid and actually had to figure out and beat. I was very disappointed to not see you actually play through the game or even hear your own thoughts about it.

Anyway, thank all of you at Cinemassacre for all the entertaining videos over the years and I look forward to more years of incredible content.

Maybe he spends so much time being characters like AVGN or whatever, its difficult to come out of that and break character.
I appreciate James does a lot for us, but at least he’s doing something he loves and is passionate about. It shouldnt feel like work, it should be fun.

That’s one thing I don’t get either. His workplace is almost always his home. He may shut the door and have a “don’t disturb me while I’m working rule” but it would seem it’s the convention appearances that takes him away, not the videos. I suppose someone is not technically mentally “there” when they’re blasting death metal and intently focused on cutting together a film, even if they’re there physically, but at least it’s not living in different states or something.

That makes no sense. To cease putting out regular vidoes would be a really poor choice. This site would lose visitors, and he would get no new income sources from youtube. If he really wanted to be more efficient, he’d be better off recruiting help. You know what normal people do when their schedules get too busy to manage everything? They delegate. I love the videos on this site, but the constant I have a family spiel is a little tiresome. Everyone has a life outside of their work. Sharing that doesn’t make me sympathetic, but curious why he put so much work on himself when he’s just going to complain about it.

Well I think focusing on one single project in 2016 is a lot healthier than trying to spread yourself thin over several.

Don’t whine that you have to sacrifice time away from your family. Most people do. Only they have to be outside of their homes for 10-12 hours a day – they don’t get to hang out playing video games in the basement with their friends all da. Sheesh
