Whoa calm down man! Yes, Pluto is now considered a dwarf planet but that definition is up for debate in the scientific community. You don’t need to insult the man, its like you said “science is to be continually refined”, the terminology will likely change again in the future.

As for how Pluto got its name, Sexconker is correct. The “dwarf planet” was named after the Roman god Pluto which is the equivalent to Hades in Greek mythology. It would be pretty cool if the planet was named after the cartoon though, haha!
