In reply to ToadRoad. BTW Robotron 64 is AWESOME. Wish I'd played it as a kid. I just tried and made it to level 107 on the initial go. My eyes are burning though because you don't feel like you can blink. I'd like to see them give it a go sometime. I recommend it.

Games like this probably influenced the COD Black Ops, top down zombie thing which I had a lot of fun playing.

I love the hell out of Roboton 2084. Next to Galaga, it’s my favorite classic arcade game of all time.

This used to be at a bar in my hometown. I’d play it for hours on end and let me tell you, when you play for high-scores, you’ll be dripping sweat and your arms will hurt like hell the next day.

My high-score was something like 13 million, which must have taken 2+ hours of playing. It’s insane to think some people can get 100 or 150 million at this game without dying.

This game does look really addicting. I like the videos where they play challenging games they enjoy, rather than games which typically get the distinction of “shitty.”
