Well, of course not. It is a computer, not a television. I wonder if a computer with such a port even exist?

What i would have done well A thats what happends when you have to game on a mac. However B with the girlfriends old laptop i would have just got a dvi or vga to hdmi converter head or cable. Problem solved for the hdmi video connection.

Then get your self a custom MAME controller and you’ve basically got your own arcade machine. That’s what I have and it works fine. You can pick a Pi up for about 20 quid UK money so be cheaper stateside and the controllers vary but mine was like 60 or something.

I’ve got the Red Hori RAP V (Japanese) and its 100% plug n play with windows 7/10/PS4. No switch necessary. Just plug it in, load up USF4 on PC, it works. Unplug, pop into PS4, it works.

You could also maybe do some research into buying a TE2/TE2+
They’re full Sanwa parts from the factory, and may cost a bit more, (at least you dont have to get them shipped from Japan) but I’ve never used one so i cant say how well they work on the platforms.

One thing you could have done though was do install Windows alongside OS X on your MacBook using Boot Camp. That way you’d be able to run Windows and also get the HDMI output. Nice that you got it working in the end though.
