It’s been ages since I played it last and I don’t remember the exact details, but Bootsy’s strategy about juggling the dark brown cattle and opening small holes one at a time to control where new cattle will appear is definitely coming back to me watching this. Simple to get into, deeper than it appears, relatively easy to figure out once you learn how the game works, yet still something that requires your full attentention and need to qickly react properly. Fucking perfect.

It seems like it is one of the most complete adventure-type games for the Atari 2600 compared to something on the NES.

Seriously, though, you guys do a great service. That’s one thing that I don’t like about modern games. They may be better graphically, but the “spirit” is lacking. I don’t know how to describe it exactly, but the quality and the magic isn’t quite there. Can’t describe it, or my post will be deleted, but I wish that more game developers would approach their games the way Activision and Atari did. Thanks for helping to keep classic gaming alive!

I thought it would be the Stampede Jackpot Progressive slot machine. You know, the one in Vegas. THAT would make a great Mike & Bootsy episode. They could do a raod trip and play all of Vegas funniest slot machines. Wonder if these chaps spend any time in Vegas. IT’S A STAAAAAAAMPEEEEEEDE!!!!!!

There is a link to the “full” non-browser version on that page as well, maybe easier to record.
