What? The map was still in Doom 2. Considering the insane urban areas after the halfway point, it would be a nightmare (for the wrong reasons) for newcomers who don’t know every map like their back of their hands to get into.

Sirrah, that was quite polite. You clearly never met a real PC Masterrace.

One of the changes from Doom to Doom 2 that I did NOT like was the removal of the map system. I liked seeing a little map showing all the places you were going. I would have loved to see a map of fucking Hell and little blood spots for each area fucking annihilated.

Well, anyone can enjoy a game the way they like to, but it does hurt a bit.

You’ve got some of that wrong. The changes have nothing to do with the BFG edition. Those changes were made like…. way back in the 90s (the Nazi symbol in one of Doom’s levels was removed (it was a reference to Wolfenstein, but no one thinks that anymore, they would just think it was put there for satanic fun).

So these changes have been around quite a while, they were not implemented for the BFG version.

It’s technically not “The Rock” because he turns into a bad guy, I know huge spoiler, but I believe they said it was Karl Urban. Although, he looks and acts much more like “Portman”.

Didn’t Carmack say he liked playing Doom with a controller on Jaguar?

We used to play doom with a Joystick on Nightmare mode, and survive.

shut up.

No need to keep advertising the steam-ing pile of shit.

For everyone else interested in getting the game, you don’t need to resort to the POS of steam. you can also get the game on GOG. It’s a much better platform and valve doesn’t get any money.

I also loved Zero Tolerance on the Sega Genesis. If you haven’t played it, check it out.
