Half the time you’re too busy talking to even know what the hell you’re doing in these videos about unrelated crap. What’s the point in playing these games if you’re just going to talk about random shit the whole time?

As others have said the atmosphere and basically everything you complained about is how the game was made on purpose. But as I mentioned you didn’t take any time to immerse yourselves so of course you’re going to complain about it…sad

Half life was original when it came out but now that the novelty wore off, you can easily tell it’s a horrible game.
Well, you can tell if you’re willing to look objectivly at the game. For newell and valve fanatics that will praise everything that newell says and valve does (like the user Fallout1312 here) half life is the best game ever.

This is actually my favorite Doom game of all time because it has a beautiful balance between “edge of your seat” creepy and “edge of your seat” blowing shit up.

Doom 3 was a mess of narrative and passive moments that completely has nothing to do with why I’d sit down and play a Doom game. Doom 64, on the other hand, is absolutely full of interest-generating atmosphere and challenges. It takes everything adrenaline-charged about the classic Doom games and adds in great atmosphere and genuine CREEPINESS into a solid FPS experience.

I still stand by this as the best Doom game ever made, though I have yet to try Doom 2016. I’m hoping it’ll take that throne for me!

How does someone born in 1980, a video game aficionado, not know Windows 3.1? And Doom for PC (DOS) was not played split screen. This episode made me feel old.

It would have been nice to have been able to save at anytime like the PC versions. You could save your game to a memory card, but only at the beginning of a level. It was common that you would die an hour into a huge level and have to start the level over. This does make it more challenging since you cannot save every room that you enter.
