Anyway, did you hear about the lawsuit SONY filed against Bill Murray to force him to appear in the new Ghostbusters, or as I like to call it, GINO (Ghostbusters In Name Only)? In reply to Don Skiver. I'm with you, here, Don, 100%. I hardly go to the movies, anymore, because there isn't anything interesting out there. All that's out there are Superhero movies, and quite frankly- I can't remember hearing about anything worthwhile this year. Last year was a bit of a misnomer, in that there were a few movies that I wanted to see. Other than the new Bourne, though, I'm not going to bother.

Best advice you could possibly give people. Vote NO to these shitty movies with your wallet.
And you said creativity exists? Apparently not in Hollywood because these just keep making remakes and reboots instead of fresh new ideas banking on the movie names and nostalgia for the originals. But as long as they keep making money, they will keep at this fucking formula…it’s one of the reasons why I’ve stopped going to the movies. There’s almost nothing I want to see anymore.

I suppose you are right with that last sentence.

That made me remember the 3rd Harold and Kumar movie where they meet the mafia boss’ daughter and there are a bunch of kids pretending to be tough. One of the kids mentions the Karate Kid movie and Harold asks which one of the four is he talking about. The kid replies that only one exists, featuring Jaden Smith.

I guess, if you look at things in a certain way, this reboot makes sense: new kind of movies for a new generation of people.
