I played the whole game and i can tell you this: it’s just not worth it. It has the minimum of gameplay that a game requires, in a “run forward only” way. Always the same rooms over and over. You expect a story that does not exists and, remember, the story of the mansion is the only reason why you explore the mansion. It reminded me of the “ACTION 52” game-style.
There is a good thing about this game and is the music and sound effects but, sad indeed, are covered by the sound of all the winking to horror games like Penumbra or Silent Hill.
I give 4/10. Impression: better go get Penumbra or Amnesia.

Lately this site has become PC gaming-only, it seems.

I undertand that Ryan might like PC better but you guys (and Bootsy) are all about console gaming.

Yeah totally. I like how in the beginning you guys were like “aww this ain’t scary at all!” and then you guys were like “OMG RUN RUN RUN!! AHHH!!!”

I’ve watched let’s plays of this game and there is 1 weapon in the game, and axe and it’s in room 554. The axe only works on certain enemies (called specimens) and it won’t necessarily kill an enemy, maybe only stun it or knock it back. The game really wants you to feel helpless.

I’ll also tell you that there are 2 endings to this game. A good ending and a bad ending. I know you HATE bad endings like Bubble Bobble so in order to get the good ending, avoid using the axe on enemies. You can only use it a couple times on an enemy before an internal counter ticks over and you get the bad ending (because of your violent nature perhaps?). So…there’s your protip.

Thank you for this little gem, was very happy to find it for FREE on Steam, killed a good 4 hours, and yeah, it does get better. Even replayed it to get the GOOD Ending. 🙂
