I have no idea how you found any of the Waldos in this game. I remember being obsessed with the books when I was a kid and it was enough of a challenge when Waldo was the right colors!

The only other Waldo I can think of is The Great Waldo Pepper. 😛

Trivia: “Wario” is a contraction of “Warui Mario”. “Warui” is Japanese for “Bad”.

In addition to the weird colors (Waldo with red pants??), part of the charm of the books was seeing all the crazy stuff going on around Waldo, and that’s completely lost when everything is a blurry clump of pixels (though you guys came up with some interesting interpretations, at least). I guess you could say that some of the weird-color Waldos are supposed to “Odlaw”, the evil anti-Waldo (or if we’re using Mario Bros. naming conventions, he’s called “Wawaldo”).

Surprised you guys didn’t mention that this wasn’t the only Waldo game for the NES.

The other game, The Great Waldo Search, has an amazing little intro for the NES (lol).
