My friends and I thought it was unintentionally hilarious and campy. There were times watching this movie that I couldn’t believe it had any kind of reputation as a classic, we laughed all the way through this movie. I was a little embarrassed at suggesting it, since I thought it was supposed to be really good instead of bad/funny. but we still enjoyed our time watching it regardless.

Same here. October is great. It finally stops being hot outside, the weather is cool and comfortable, it starts getting darker earlier, and I stay up all night long watching horror movies. I mean, I watch horror movies all year long, but it just feels more appropriate watching them in October.
