Like Emerald City (further) or Tin Man

I was only like 10 year ago too and I thought it was kind of scary even for an adult. Just so freaky to watch. By the way I remember a movie where a lion was hungry and looking for a baby to eat. I am not sure where I seen that or if it was in a cartoon or something but I remember seeing one asking around saying I am so hungry do you know where I can find a baby. When you said something about it it came to me like I have seen it. I wish I could say what movie it was in or if it was a cartoon of it that I saw. I forget but remember something like that.

My sisters and I watched this when it originally aired and thought it was great, but as we never read the books we don’t know how faithful it was.

It’s interesting seeing how some stories inspire others, which in turn inspire more. I’ve never read any of the books or seen Return to Oz, just the original film and also the Muppets adaptation, oh and I think I might have seen that remake with an entirely African American cast that has Michael Jackson in it. It does sound like the Oz books are worth checking out though.

Want to see a really nice adaptation of all this? See the anime Wizard of Oz from the 80s. Its AWESOME and it is very faithful to all the books. Which I didnt know until now after watching these 2 videos. Back then I thought they had made up all that.

To bad you didn’t talk about that version. It’s a nice adaptation.
