I never really watched the show as a kid but I went and watched this movie with my gf. I think it’s pretty cheesy. The one thing that kind of intrigues me is the mix of Super Sentai and Western soap elements, but that wasn’t really a thing with this movie as all the footage appears to be Western produced. Otherwise though, it doesn’t seem like something I could get into, but maybe it’s fun for kids.

I think the “I’ve Got the Power” tune was added because it was also on the 1995 movie’s soundtrack. Honestly, when I heard that track come on, I got excited. Also, I believe the theme song that plays shortly is from the 1995 film as well.

I’m guessing you didn’t notice the cameo with Jason David Frank (Tommy) and Amy Jo Johnson in the crowd scene at the end. She’s still hot.
