You’re just not putting any effort into playing/experiencing the game.

It would be cool to see them seriously try and beat it.
But I guess that would kill the conversation, which is what we came here for.
You can’t reminisce and have interesting/engaging conversations if you’re giving your full attention to the game.
And seeing you beat a game is not what I come here for.
I come here to hear/see you talk.
But you’re not fair to the games.
It’s not the game; it’s you.

Comix Zone is so short, so the low lives/continues are very appropriate.
And I prefer to have realism (one life) especially to such a short game.

I remember the great tension and involvement playing this game because if you fucked up, you’d have to start all over, and that creates a great atmosphere that emulates a realism that makes you not want to die. So then you want to pay close attention to what you’re doing.

Got to the end of this game and beat the final boss, but there’s something you have to do to prevent something bad from happening, but I didn’t know how to stop it.
So I got this ending where I lived, but I failed to save her.
Then I played it through again and realized how to stop the terrible thing from happening and saw the happy ending.

Never got a sequel though.

This game kinda reminds me of the wonderful SEGA Genesis game, Spider-Man (vs. The Kingpin). The early Spider-Man game for Genesis (there’s a later one based on the Animated Series).

If you haven’t played Spider-Man that came out about 1991, you need to.
Best Spider-Man game before the Playstation/Xbox ones.
Great story and game.

Every day I’d play it and progress a little further each time. I finally reached the end, I was very excited and happy. However, I found this video annoying. Here’s why:
1) At the end of the video, James calls the game a “two continue game”. Yet the game only gave him one continue. So what he meant to say was a “two lives game” or a “one continue game”.
2) James said, “That’s got to be unusual, for it to give you two tries. Two. Not three, but NONE, but two.” None tries? If a game gave you none tries, then you wouldn’t be able to play it, surely?
3) They weren’t putting much effort into playing the game. I never once saw them use an item and they weren’t fighting the enemies in a tactical way. No wonder they weren’t progressing far.
4) The goddamn combination lock. You don’t need to destroy the lock, Jame sand Mike – you just need to keep pulling the lever until the hands are in the right position.
