I can swear i saw the videos themselves say toons! Plenty of them. I just started believing alternate realities.

At one point, I died and got the continue screen.

I’m a 100% sure that the continue screen was a kind of snake killing a turtle in a green background, showing the shape of both animals but in green too.

I couldn’t continue playing, it was something I disliked a lot (I was 6 or 7) and also had a turtle so I was scared because of that image.

I played it several times after in emulators and never got a continue screen like that. I don’t know, probably a child memory playing tricks because the love for his turtle…. but it’s pretty fucked up.

I rented the game as a kid, and I swear I fought enemies called “Drill Bit” at Booster’s Tower. Ever since I bought the game, I never saw that happen.

I went on GameFAQs years later and there were multiple discussions about the “Drill Bit” and people having memories of fighting them, even though they don’t appear as standalone fightable enemies in the game, but they appear in the Super Mario RPG official strategy guide.

People who saw the original run of The Transformers: The Movie in the theaters have a false memory of Optimus Prime’s death scene. After Prime dies and his body turns dark, some have a false memory of his body actually crumbling into dust, and insisted that they must have changed the scene for video release.

There was never any such scene.

For example Tony Montatrna death scene in censored version are shorter.

Another “open minded” individual who finds a way to weave his bigoted athiest religious views into a comment section on a video about false memories and thereby force his views on everyone else.

You should learn some tolerance, guy. Just because someone disagrees with you does not make them “batshit insane”

The worst kind of bigot is the hypocritical one.

Well you’re probably more up to date than I am. I thought it got changed for the series when Billy became the new wizard calling himself Marvel and Freddy became the new hero calling himself Shazam (instead of CM Jr) but I guess I thought they changed it back after that.

Drives me nuts! I DO remember having experienced the actual Mandela Effect, though, thinking he was dead until relatively recently. Something similar seems to have affected me regarding Aretha Franklin, who I also thought to be dead. But no, she’s alive and well.
