I for one would love to hear James do a Beatles episode.

How about let the man do what he wants? I am not really into metal, but I enjoy hearing James talk about the things he’s passionate about. He’s earned the right to do whatever the hell he wants.

Consider these factors regarding James: He’s already a father and a husband which are big responsibilities. AVGN videos take a lot of time and effort that he clearly does not have now. Making some half-assed AVGN videos would clearly ruin its legacy so we don’t see them quite often.

But the guy needs to make ends meet and still do what he loves (something we all dream of) so he makes these easier to do videos to help him and his family survive. But instead of making random click bait stuff he chooses subjects that are close to him, like metal, board games, horror and video games. Being a father myself I see nothing wrong with that.

Yes, AVGN is what made him unique. But if started doing those just because people like you tell him to, then he’s becoming something that, ironically, you’re telling him not to be…

With these music videos I finally decided to register because I really wanted to ask what other metal bands you’re familiar with. I’m mostly into progressive and power metal so I listen to bands such as Symphony X, Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Virgin Steele, Dream Theater, Firewind, and Rage.

If you’ve not heard anything by these bands, and have time to check them out I’d recommend the following albums –

Iced Earth – Night of the Stormrider, The Dark Saga and Horror Show. I think you’d be particularly interested in the last one as it contains songs inspired by classic horror movies.

Blind Guardian – Nightfall in Middle Earth, A Night at the Opera

Symphony X – The Odyssey, Paradise Lost, The Divine Wings of Tragedy

Dream Theater – Octovarium, Systematic Chaos, Train of Thought

Virgin Steele – The Marriage of Heaven & Hell Parts 1 & 2, Invictus

Firewind – Allegiance, The Premonition

Rage – Welcome to the Other Side, Unity, Soundchaser

I like Iron Maiden and Megadeth as well, although never really could get into Metallica as much. But mostly I really would love to hear your thoughts on the above albums, if you have the time, I think you’d appreciate many of them.

Regards, Sean

You should get a reward for The most incorrect use of the word “internet troll”.

Regarding the content: He still makes all those other videos about video games and movies. What’s it to ya?

May I suggest something from the 1969 album “shades of deep purple”? There is some heavy shit in there!! (This is my third try… sorry if there are too many comments of mine)
