Actually, a low run is what masters do. I got stuck at mother brain.. The easiest boss normally.

1:50 That’s what you call a rewarding moment. This is why games should still challenge you. Fairly, though.

You can definitely beat Ridley with that many powerups though. You have more than enough. Remember though, most bosses get ‘mad’ when you shoot Super Missiles at them

You finally noticed that the game uses dozens of Kaiju movie sounds lol
The whole fanchise is a homage to the Alien movies: http://www.metroid-database.com/features/alien.php

Arguably, the hardest thing to find out in S. Metroid was that laying a power bomb would break the glass tube bridge.

And I realize you’re doing this for the fans. But part of the joy of Metroid is wandering around and finding stuff. Take a pass through Brinstar and Norfair. Hell, run through Maridia with all your items again. You’ll find all kindsa crap. I couldn’t tell if you’ve gotten it already, but there’s a stronger beam weapon in Maridia.

If you break those nodes on the walls, let him grab you, you can force him to swing from one side to the other, and with your grappling beam you can grab the node. It’ll electrify you, and you’ll lose health, but you’ll kill him wayyyyy before you’ll kill yourself.
