My wife and I watched the whole Godfather trilogy over a couple days, having never seen any of them, but knowing their reputation. We are also both part Italian, and I enjoy mafia movies/shows in general. We both agreed that #2 was easily our least favorite of the 3 Godfathers. I actually fell asleep during that one. Why do I care what he’s doing in Cuba? This should be some sort of spinoff movie that happened way later. He spent way too much of the movie in Cuba and I was so bored. At least Godfather 3 had the jawdropping helicopter scene, yeah it may have been over the top, but I was like, holy crap! At least it got my attention and woke me up!

Thanks for the video.

I agree with you, I get why it’s important but it’s not that great.

That’s what’s so interesting about this. It’s all personal opinion – no one’s right or wrong. Field of Dreams is one of my favorite movies of all time; my Dad and I used to watch it every time it came on TV, as well as having the VHS.

I completely agree with you – I never understood why it’s so worshipped.

At any rate, thanks for sharing your opinion in an age when, for some reason, doing so is brave. I disagree with your opinion on some films. But I agree on others. Funny how that works, right? Like we’re not all the same and disagreement doesn’t always equal controversy?

In short, thank for doing your vids, both AVGN and otherwise. You care about the content and it shows, and for that reason I’ll always watch. Keep it up, Nerd!

How can you not be blown away when Neo takes the red pill and is flushed out of his mind control pod? It’s an action movie, a sci-fi movie, a religious movie, and a philosophical movie all at once. And it does it all brilliantly. The sequels are underrated and the Wachowskis are geniuses. I understand the criticism for the other movies but I thought you’d love The Matrix James!

About the rest, I do agree many of these movies are highly overrated. Not bad movies, but not the best ones ever. The one I disagree the most is The Matrix, I really love that movie.

Honestly, I didn’t watch the film, because I felt it messed around too much with the Star Trek universe, alternative universe be damned. Plus, I find it hard to see anyone but Shatner and Nimoy in the roles of Kirk and Spock. I did try to watch once, on the recommendation of a friend, as I found it on T.V. at one time. But the lens flare was so bright, it felt like it was burning my retinas. Had to change the channel. Sorry, friend.

I think that movie has incredible rewatchability. I’d add:
The Shining
Clerks
Austin Powers
Gone with the Wind
Taxi Driver
Field of Dreams
