Paul played a character on the TV series Sledge Hammer! named Norman Blates, who was the police medical examiner. It was a comedy series. Norman uses the name Ed when he calls in to the radio show as a reference to Ed Gein, who Norman Bates was based on.

I thought the sequels would be bad, as most tend to be, especially in horror franchises until I saw the documentary Shout Factory put out called The Psycho Legacy, which was pretty damn good and went into each movie in great detail, even talking about super fans and websites devoted to the franchise and had video of some Q&A appearance years ago made by Anthony Perkins.

I really didnt understand why the studio thought they could turn psycho into a long running franchise.
