old written game reviews – 32X, Virtual Boy

James / April 24th, 2011

The 32-bit era saw some lackluster game systems from Sega and Nintendo. As the Angry Video Game Nerd, I reviewed both the 32X and Virtual Boy, but even back in the day, I wrote something about them, when they were current. Surprisingly, I praised the Virtual Boy’s 3D effects. Reading this reminded me how cool it actually was when playing it for the very first time, but afterwards, it started to suck pretty quickly. Here’s the initial account of these “cutting edge” new systems from my young self, first-hand.
